Priorities of Polish Foreign Policy

On the 3rd of June in the Warsaw Marriott Hotel Professor Maciej Giertych, Member of the European Parliament met with diplomats accredited to Poland. The meeting concerned Polish foreign policy dilemmas of the present day.

Mr Giertych lectured on the Polish foreign policy priorities and presented his own vision of that policy. Mr Piotr Ślusarczyk, the Secretary of the League of Polish Families, chaired the meeting. Also present was MEP Wojciech Wierzejski.

Professor Maciej Giertych quite concisely, however very clearly explained LPR's views on the Polish foreign policy of the present day. As main goals he enumerated cooperation with the United States as well as with NATO and the opposition to the European Constitution.

Bulk of his speech covered the necessity to safeguard heritage and the Christian traditional values in Europe and the World. He emphasized the obligation to oppose the ideas of euthanasia, abortion, homosexual marriages favored by the political elites of the European Union.

The invited distinguished guests actively participated in the discussion asking numerous questions. Most of which concerned Mr Giertych's and the EU Parlaments eurosceptics opinion on the question of the European Union, its Constitution, globalism and human rights issues.

"It was a very fruitful meeting" commented MEP Wojciech Wierzejski. "Over 50 diplomats from all over the world obtained important information from a leader of the League of Polish Families concerning Poland's position on various international issues and the importance of sovereignty in today's age" he summarized.
